Campello sul Clitunno is located near Spoleto(PG) in the Umbria region. It is one of a number of towns spread throughout the countryside and the mountains. It has a population of about 2400 inhabitants. "Torrecampello" is an ancient tower outpost of the Campello castle. It was recently restored and divided in three apartments maintaining the old structure and style. Each apartment measures 120- 130 sq.meters and is composed by three double bedrooms, all of them have beautiful views on the valley, two bathrooms, a fully equiped kitchen and a confortable living- diningroom with fireplace and TV. The building is on a terraced hill surrounded by olive trees where one can be in strict contact with the nature of the typical countryside of Umbria. | Leaving from Campello there is the possibility of making beautiful walks and excursions to some of the most charming towns of Umbria like Spoleto, Perugia Assisi and Spello which are very near. Besides, as Torrecampello is very quiet, it gives the possibility of enjoing the silence and the beauty of the countryside. From mid-June to the end of July the Spoleto Festival takes place. It is a tourist attraction for show business. The festival is a meeting point for the Italian, American, and European cultures. Today it is one of the major Italian festivals, famous worldwide. Campello is not far from Assisi, an even more renowned tourist attraction known for its most famous citizen, St. Francis, proclaimed a saint in 1228, founder of the franciscan order and patron saint of Italy. There are also other sites to visit such as the Cascate delle Marmore, magnificently situated at 165 meters in a natural scenario of incomparable beauty.
